I have one of Gannon's 2600 prototype boards. Its clean and easy too use, but I think that the N64 would be a bit of a challenge.

Ha! Neither the 2600-on-an-FPGA nor the NES-on-an-FPGA project have even reached full compatibility yet... I'd love to see you try, but I don't think it's gonna be easy by any means.

heh, I actually was at one point considering redesigning the whole mobo...

then I realized how much work that'd be, and thought the dimensions I cut it down to were good enough

Yeah you're dimensions are good. Once you start going further you would need to put heaps more work in to make it a bit smaller.

Though I would love to see a portable that small.

I'll show you pics when everything's wired up

. I've been really busy at school, so I haven't had a chance to get that N64 mobo wired....but I did buy the screen (still hasn't come in

), and will soon be getting my vacuum forming table remade (my old one was crap...this one will be much better

). When I buy the stuff for the vacuum form table I'll also buy the wood for the case. I've decided to carve the case in wood and vacuum form it, since the shape is not too detailed and wood is pretty easy to shape (for me).

I'm going to get the electronics done before actually making the case, but hopefully the dimensions I've measured out will work (I've already designed the case and dimensions). Maybe I could post pictures of the case design, but I don't have a camera right now to take pictures

...I'd scan the design, but it was drawn on my table

I should be getting a camera in a few weeks, though; I'm asking my family to ship me out one of the ones we have so I can use it when I sell these portables, too

(oh yeah, I'll be selling this portable

...if I haven't already mentioned it)

true. I'm not one to rag on others for their pictureless projects, but many here are.
