Steven King's The Stand. I've read the first book, and a few bits and pieces of the other two.
Bram Stoker's Dracula, is a unique book in how it's written. It's like reading people's journals about events as events roll out.
I agree, the Godfather is a great book.
Even though it's not a book, H. P. Lovecraft is a fantastic writer. The Call of Cthulhu and the Outsider are both mind bending stories.

I Love You Beth Cooper by Larry Doyle (wrote for the Simpsons for a bunch of years, so the book is obviously, really funny.)
It's like... Superbad... but a book. And it's being made into a movie, which is what it originally was what it was going to be.

If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.
I'm gonna give that one a shot.Super Cameraman wrote:I Love You Beth Cooper by Larry Doyle (wrote for the Simpsons for a bunch of years, so the book is obviously, really funny.)

same here. I haven't ever read a real horror, I think I would probably have to start with a H. P. Lovecraft, though, if I were to try one.khaag wrote:I loved that game! I've yet to read any Lovecraft though... Every time I go to the library to get a new book, I always forget to check if they have The Call of Cthulhu...
Call of Cthulhu is only a short story. H. P. Lovecraft only wrote short stories... maybe one or two novella. Check for "the Dunwish Horror and Others", I recently rented it out and it had CoC in it.DK wrote:I can't find The Call of Cthulhu for the life of me in bookshopsSparkfist wrote:

....haven't read that last one, but I'd like to.
If anyone here has not read the HHGG books you'll be banned. Read them, now

Without games my life would have no meaning.
