Someone scammed me...What should I do?EDIT:SCAMMER REVEALED!

The only solice I could take from it is that in around 10 years, some punk 12 year old will come up to him and be all, "PS3? Whats that old junk system?? Halo? Whats that?!"

I got the guys phone number!

I called him, and recorded the call. The first call, he "Broke up".

The second call kept him on the line. He claims that his brother is the who has the money, but will not give it to him. He also says that his brother (Armando Torres) says that since I shipped first and took the risk, that HE does not have to send out payment, and I should take it as a loss! WTF!?!? I told him that if he does not get me on the phone with his brother today or tomorrow, that I am filing a police report (Piece of cake with phone no.).

I now have his IP address, IRL address, phone number, name, brothers name, and a few bits of random info.

I have the call recorded, I am assuming that I cannot post it? Also, how come other scammers (Like dkap) have people posting FULL info (Even more than I have!) on them with bad feedback, but when I write info like IP and phone, it gets censored?

One more thing: The scammer in question has signed up AGAIN as "gameguy89". Do NOT buy anything from him, I have 3 months and still no payment. Gonna go post a warning in his thread.

are you serious? he got another AIM account as well since I got an AIM from some guy who said he was gameguy89.

I don;t know if there is one yet or if it has even been suggested, but is there a mod with some time on their hands that could perhaps catalog all the known good traders and bad traders on this thread? I know it might seem like a bit of work, or perhaps even a "Kudos" system,

for Example:

Gameguy89(-2)
MothaTrucka (+13)
Phantom92opera (+7)
WompaStompa11 (+10)

I know it might be a bit "Ebay-Ish" but it would be helpful since I know some of us may not have enough time to read the thread in its entirety to get a bead of whose good and whose bad. Maybe even a sticky that contains that info. I'd volunteer, but I know I don't have that kind fo authority around here.

Any thoughts? Gonna double post on the traders list (posted this one on the wrong thread)

after reading some of the conversations that palmertech has had with this guy and his brother i have to say the following.

If you are going to deal with people on the internet PLEASE have some integrity. taking advantage of people is WRONG! changing the terms of a deal without permission of the other party IS WRONG! taking goods without paying the originally agreed upon amount IS WRONG. saying your going to pay 100$ for something then deciding that your not going to pay or going to pay less can be considered theft, fraud or breach of contract.

i dont understand how somebody can basically steal something from somebody then in good conscience blame the party that they STOLE FROM for allowing it to happen! what kind of crap excuse is "you should have known better than to ship first"!

its people like this that make the world a crap place, karma will catch up with this sort of person in the end.

so directly to the persons in question:
what you did was WRONG, you were not in the right in this situation. what you did was take advantage of a person who, In good faith, sent you the goods first on the assumption that you would DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD. but you broke that contract and his trust by being what amounts to a thief or at best an ignorant and unscrupulous person who doesnt mind ripping people off. as far as i am concerned neither of you are welcome as members of benheck.com forums and any account you create (multiple account creation is against the rules btw) should be banned as soon as we find out it is you.

So when do we see irrefutable proof (like IP's) that this is the same guy? Palmer's got a history of lying, why should we believe him on word alone?

Speaking of proof, still waiting for a pic on Palmer's GB lighting thing...
