even though i haven't finished my genesis portable, im already planning a dreamcast one.
id really like to use vga for the connection to the built in screen. now, i know that compatibility is a little awkward with the DC vga adaptor... so heres my question:
will the DC VGA box work on a VGA modded PSone screen?
hmm quite a conundrum....
heres a doozy of a question..

I'm not 100% sure, but pretty damn sure that the Dreamcast can output at 15Hz and so it can use the PSone screen no problem. You should double check over at gamesx.com to be sure.

they both accomplish the same thing with the same parts. ive done both. for about 9$ i can get a complete adaptor already on a pcb with smd componentshy phrend wrote:You should do a custom VGA mod for your Dreamcast rather than buy a VGA box for your Dreamcast. Will save you some money. There are instructables on how to do it. The results look promising but I've never done it so I can't tell you first hand.
