Hey did you guys figure out how to make this thing run as a normal nes by removing built in games? I am taking a break from it, It has been frustrating. :x

Connect pin 30 to pin 31 on the cart connector. That's how ben did it.

hey I've been heaving trouble getting wires soldered onto the cartridge adapter. I'm gonna got get a 15 watt soldering iron and some flux, do you think that would do the trick? yeah I've been using a 40 watt.... probably not the best idea...

my problem is when i solder onto the pins, it just pulls off when I'm working on a different pin. I tried removing the bottom part of the pin and soldering onto the plastic as well which works better, but I need a more permanet solution.

Remove old solder, and try again, maybe using better solder. Also, clean off the contacts you are about to solder to to ensure a better hold for when it solidifies.

Well I checked the project log again, and it says to send 5v into pin 31, which pin 30 outputs. Do you have it wired like he does?

I tried that, but Ben used a Super Joy III, not a power joy. Could this change anything?

I honestly have no idea, but if it doesn't work then that's likely it.

The on/off switch on that powerjoy has two settings. One is for the built-in games, the other is for the cart slot. Why can't you just use the regular power switch and not worry about removing the crap games?

This Thursday I should have time to start portableizing again and I'll start soldering the 72 pin cartridge adapter to where the 60 pin slot was. but if all else fails, I'll just get a yobo nes, and work with that (a lot less soldering)
