Power-Joy (!/?) (Pics)

No rechargable batteries use will work. I have the power board connected to the noac and have a wire on the far right and one in for negative and the far left and one in for posotive. Is this your setup?

DUHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I am soooooo stupid. I have to make the two little pads on the bottom of the power board connect so it makes a complete path. thanks I guess, since I thaught of it while typing my post.

All right I got my noac to run off of a 9 volt battery. tonight or tommorow hopefully I can go and get a game genie then take out the 72 pin cartridge slot.

edit: can an Ide cable be plugged into the pins on the bottom of a cartridge adapter? I have tons of extra ide cables, and I think Ben Heck did something along those lines.

our local vintage video game store is in the process of moving so I can't get a 72 pin connector for a while but theres a nice 5 incher screen on ebay I'm looking at.

I'm undecided as to which kind of screen I wan't to use, but I can't put this off until february. Every day I hear noises from my basement.

My goal is not to waste near as much space as I did on my xbox. Compact from here on out!

I feel like this is taking forever... I would have been the first customer in our vintage video games new location, but It didn't open when they said it would and It will take another day.

well at least yours is moving in. There was a place relatively near me (30 minute drive or so) called Starland that sold everything video game related. Just months after I learned about the place they picked up their stuff and went online-only. no more browsing their shelves finding piles of gold

ok I got a game genie and deslodered the 72 pin cartridge slot. now for the probably most over asked question that I havent found the answer to.

How do you pu the 72 pin cartridge slot in place of the 60 pin cartridge slot?

there is a connecter inside of those Converted Gyromite Carts. Plug one end into the Famicom slot and the other end into the NES slot.

thanks. Looks like I have a little soldering ahead of me. I might go get one of those gyromite cartridges anyways, even tho it wasn't what I was talking about. then I can put my 87 games in one cartridge inmy portable nes

just an interesting little fact: you can overclock or underclock the power joy noac by replacing the crystal oscillator right next to where the av cords attach to the noac (it's thing that makes it difficult to remove the av cords). the oscillator is currently at 21mhz. and I underclocked it with an extra 12mhz oscillator I had from an old motherboard, then changed it back to the 21mhz so it can function as a normal NES.
