I just bought a 100 pack at Office Depot, some that were rather small and thin. I wrapped about 5-10 of them around the edge of the post on the whammy bar, and then around one of the screw posts. Mine has been going for about a year now with rubber bands, no problems so far. Definitely the easiest solution!
I have braces and they come with tiny little rubber bands to realign my jaw, I could use one of those

. The problem would be connecting it, the white part is broken
