First point, the Xbox's live has a lot more features than the Ps3's, downloading movies, downloading demos, buying arcade games, watching trailers, downloading Xbox original games, going on msn, just a sample of the things the Xbox network is capable of. Ps3's have the feature of downloading demos, mp3's from game soundtracks, trailers and downloading ps1 games. And as far as maturity goes, there are young kids playing every console, don't act like it's limited to the Xbox. Those higher numbers act like a filter, so that you only get an immature person every 4 or 5 games (depending on the title of course, more immature people play Call of Duty 4 than Gears of War).
I believe the Xbox deserves a point there.
Second point, the backwards compatibility. You're seriously biased if you think that the 360 has terrible backwards compatibility, so far they've made almost all the popular Xbox titles available to be played (disk, OR downloaded online, go Xbox). Excluding games like Battlefield 2, or Burnout because they're for the 360 as well, so it wouldn't make sense for them to lose cash on purpose. You're really underestimating the Xbox's power to emulate Xbox titles, I've played through numerous campaign levels, and online games of Halo 2, not even a hiccup as far as frame rate went, and glitches? Halo 2 was always full of glitches, no more on the 360 than on the original Xbox though. 0.5% my ass, it's be harder to find one of the supported games that doesn't work.
Point #2
Reliability, I know you gave Xbox a point here, but it should still be said the lifespan of today's Xbox is a lot higher than the lifespan of the first revisions. And as far as Ps3's go, yeah, they're pretty stable machines, but not unbreakable, they break too, and where's Sony when they do break? I don't see them replacing the Psps that just happen to break one day after warranty expires..
My last part, Games. You're right on the money with some of what you say, but just to let you know, Halo and Gears of War are still alive and kicking, jump on live for a second and see. Halo 3 with no decent games? They release a new game type for the weekend that caters to all the players, not to mention the fairly often addition of permanent game types to their roster. Even if you're talking about the children that like to play, more often than not, you're not able to tell the age of the player by how the play, most of these kids are pretty good at Halo 3, god knows they've played enough games.. That's only mentioning a few games there, look back to the launch titles that came out with the 360, Call of duty 3, Dead or Alive 4 (the ones I own), I jumped on live just a week or so ago to find that both of these games still have massive amounts of online players. None of the Xbox's games are old hat, they've got plenty of following from the players that enjoy the games. Don't assume.
Just released exclusive games that rock: Ninja Gaiden 2, Mass Effect.
Exclusives coming to the Xbox: Gears of war 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Dead or Alive 5.
360 is still going strong, if not stronger than before.
The majority of your points can be argued, including the controller, you didn't mention the battery life of the 360 controller with AA's, which is rated at 40 hours, compared to the 30 hours of the Ps3's. And as far as price goes, people pay more for things that are better, I know I do, and if you need any proof of how bad the Ps3 controller is compared to the 360, take a peek at the popularity of the PS360 controller. It wouldn't have gotten half as many page views if the Ps3 controller was superior. Not to mention how much people were willing to pay for it
You may not think you're biased towards the Ps3, but you are. Just like I'm biased towards the Xbox. My final score in all of those categories would have been
Ps3: 3 Xbox: 4
The Ps3 has it's better qualities, and the 360 has it's better qualities. But if you want to be unbiased, you're gonna have to start listing more of the Xbox's good qualities, and more of the Ps3's bad.
