Well, if you're going to take the internet seriously, I could say that nobody NEEDS a recently-constructed computer and broadband internet access to play with, and there goes a few hundred bucks, minimum, right there. Cut out cable TV, stop buying junk food and shop smart, replace your incandescent light bulbs with fluorescents over time. Nobody needs to pay more than $15 a month for cell phone service, and at that rate, you don't even need a landline.

Savings all around, and you need not even sell off your trinkets and other junk to round up some funds in a hurry!

Heck, the only way you'll ever make a profit from your video game purchases is by modifying the systems or rebuilding them; the primary focus of the site, yet so few people seem to be actually trying to do this. I'm damn impressed with the handheld projects I've seen. The trail has been blazed to smooth ground, so any can follow! It takes only $4 in components to Pro-Audio mod a Gameboy, so get cracking! Free money awaits everyone! With your profits from that, you can buy all the parts required to make a handheld system, which can multiply your initial investment exponentially!

Then if you have financial discipline, you can save money, make REAL investments, and continue modding and engineering to make money on the side; at least, until the bottom falls out of the market from oversaturation.

Well, there's always the good old get a job option. Saving money only works if you're making any in the first place.

If your financial situation is really that bad, you shouldn't complain that your otherwise good TV makes odd noises. Be thankful you have one at all.

But if it really annoys you, you might have to junkpick another one to use.
