I got Metroid, but when I put it in all I can do is see a black screen and hear music, if I hit start I can hear shooting and stuff when I hit the buttons lol.

Maybe your carts dirty, or defective.

I agree with GoldenFranko, I'm no expert but Metroid is one of those games I have heard no trouble about it in regards to any NOAC.

Works just fine on my FC Twin as a matter of fact (which I understand is a different internal from the Yobo FC, but most NOACs seem to have about the same defects, so yeah, I'm saying it's the cart at fault here).

YOu guys need to stop suggesting dirty carts as a reason for something like that. If the cart could not read the CHR chip (the one with the graphics, as opposed to the PRG, which has mostly code), you'd get a garbled mess of pixels, not complete darkness.

Actually sometimes I get garbled pixels and sound, other times just sound.

So dirty cart? I don't have any rubbing alcohol will Murphy's oil soap work?

Yeah, what you have is most definitely the makings of a dirty cart. Take some q-tips and rubbing alcohol and rub the pins until the black/dark green residue stops coming off. Then rinse it off with water and dry the pins. Should work like brand new after that! :P
