Become a bridge builder. Bridges are falling down everywhere. Many bridges are going to get repaired or rebuilt in the aftermath. Im totally serious.

I guess bridge builder isnt a real job

Engineering sounds logical. But you say you hate school. Fair enough. Better get used to it though cause if you are making 5-6 figures you will be doing more work than you ever did in school.

OMG I KNOW WHAT I WANT TO DO!

I want to operate a vending machine business! The vending machines do all the work so I would never have to see a single customer! (unless they call the "Problems? call 1-800-I-DONT-CARE" number!

You buy the soda and stuff in buck at like 10 cents a bottle and then sell it for a dollar! Or heck, sell a bottle for Â¢0.75 and they will buy from me because it is cheaper!

I could even have a arcade machine or two!

Maybe I will open a arcade, are those still popular?

What do you think of that? Well how do you get someone to let you put a vending machine at their mall or whatever tho?

Judging by the fact that you want your GED, you don't do homework, and don't study, I'd say you're just plain lazy.

Laziness and 6 figures a year don't mesh well. So my first suggestion is to get off your ass.

If you're opting out for a GED, and you really don't like school, be realistic about your future. I'd recommend either community college if you want a degree, or if you really loathe a school setting, vocational school is a good option. They'll train you in the career you're interested in, it only takes about a year and a half, and they set you up with an entry-level job right away.

But ultimately, it just boils down to interest. Just pick a damn job and do it.

i'm in the speech and language pathology program... meaning i'm going to be in school for AT LEAST another 5 years and i'm already a sophmore.

honestly, if you go to a party university or a community college, chances are you're going to be way smarter than the people there. i'm lazy, and only study when i have to and i'm getting adequate grades (a's and b's). the other people here show up to class with hangovers and never turn anything in on time.

to choose your classes from the professors who teach them. if the teacher is "an easy A" then someone has commented on the professor saying that. other students also give you tips on how to not fail the class.

or you can put RAM on your keychain. i got offered a job working with servers when a computer technician saw them. lol

True enough, college is not for everyone. You can choose to go to a trade school. Those are just as good, in fact my cousin is going to one to become an electrician.

If you're artistically inclined you can consider art school. Not going to be enable you to be a freelance artist, but it's something that can help you to get into a position that you can work in.

And as CTF said, you really can't be lazy. I'm getting Cs in my classes and I'm being a total sloth, and Cs are nothing to really be proud of (Bs and As are). I have the nice gift of being a little higher then average intelligence. If you don't have a knack for it or schooling doesn't come easy, it's time to shape up and move you're butt.

I did a computing course at college and it's not my field. I defientely have no plans to work with computers.

Electronics and Engineering is sounding very tempting though.

I second dealing drugs, easy money and little work.

Otherwise, go to school part-time; as much as some people will have you believe, full-time schooling isn't for everyone. I myself dropped out of college after six months, after being harassed day and night by family and the like to go.

He said he already has his GED. I agree with the being realistic though, don't expect to make 6 figures if you don't have any schooling. In this day and age, it doesn't matter if you have the qualifications or adequate knowledge to do a job. If you don't have the right piece of paper with your name on it you are SOL.

Also, you should keep this in mind. Most people have multiple careers in there lifetime. I was going to be an electrical engineer, but after 2 years on a full scholarship I decided it wasn't for me. Now I am going for a degree in computer science. Who knows, maybe I'll change my mind again.

The advice that I will give you is to try something you might be interested in. I realize you don't want to go to school right now, but that is probably because you don't know what you want to do. Believe me, if you find the right thing, your attitude will change, and you will work your ass off to accomplish your dream.

Also.... don't do drugs. Be cool, stay in school. Clean your room. Curfew is 9:00! Turn the tv down!! No girls in the bedroom!!!! YOUR GROUNDED!!!!!

So, if you needed an organ transplant, and Average Joe claimed he could do it, you'd let him no questions asked? Businesses will want to see proof that you are trainable more than anything else, and proof means the backing of a respected institution.
