Anyways Ben, you should also document a little more detail about making the N64p. So that we know how you finally wired the expansion pak and things like that.

I don't think the chips are overheating... 30 seconds really isn't long enough, and they all have heatsinks AND a fan.
Funny thing is it ran fine yesterday, then I charged up the batteries for a few hours last night (up to 12). Now it works WORSE with more power! This is nuts!

My gameboy sp used to do that. Turns out that it was the battery comming out. I had put in the extra-long battery, but had forgotten to screw it in ALL the way. Every time I pressed too hard. I would lever the connections out of place...is there a chance this could be happening here?

That was the problem I had when I tried to use a regulator, 30 seconds of playtime and the the regulators heatsink got REALLY hot and the N64 shut off.
