I have an all new design! It no longer looks dreamcast-y unfortunately but it makes it more portable and looks cleaner. I have also worked out all of the placing for the bottom half of the case and allocated battery space (wasn't gonna be any batteries previously , but I changed my mind).

20/10/07: Ideas Canned
I've decided to cancel my plans to add a LED sound mod and a fan. I've considered it with my current design options and decided if I were to add it , it would make it look less clean. That and there is currently no room for the fan.

16/10/07: Name officially changed to DreamStation portable , because i've changed my design so it now looks like a huge dreamcast controller. I feel this looks better and makes a change to the usual rectangle/oval designs we always see. Pictures coming soon , I promise. The name is also epic IMO , DS+PSP = DSP. Get it? Just me then.....

For my product design coursework , I will be making a portable PSone. It's kinda on a different level to the rest of the class
I've decided to opt for a vacuum formed case , because the school has got a machine aswell as the equipment needed. I will be using a PSone screen rather than a third party one.
The most interesting thing though , is that I will add a sound reactive LED mod.
Info on that mod can be found HERE
It seems relatively simple , and very cheap. There is also another version of this mod on instructables.
Unfortunately , all of my design images / started stuff is in school so no pictures yet. I will post any pictures of stuff I do during the holidays.
Feedback/suggestions?
