Halo 3's going to blow Gears away.

Epic even said themselves that they were just keeping Halo's seat warm.

How many of you plan to get Halo 3 at launch?

I'm trying to decide whether or not to get it right away. I'm probably 75% convinced at this point. If enough people on here are going to get it I figure it will be a worthwhile investment since there will be a number of cool people to play online with in that case.

I'll be there at midnight to pick my copy up. I'm still working on Bioshock (taking my time/busy schedule) and hoping I can finish it in time. I just got through the big twist. While I think the storyline and immersiveness of Bioshock will be better than Halo 3's. The online aspects of Halo are going to make it a much better game overall, IMO.

In the last podcast you guys talked about how Bioshock multiplayer would be cool. While I'm not convinced on that, the least they could've done was co-op, then you could have double the variety of plasmids at your disposal and gone at situations completely differently having somebody to watch your back.

And speaking of playing Halo 3 on Live, I should add you and Ben to my friends list sometime...

What, no questions? Lame.

Meh, I know plenty of people bought their 360 just for this game, but I'm still not convinced. The mediocrity of the other titles makes me want to wait it out until Christmas. Besides, I'd much rather hold my dough for Eternal Sonata or Prime 3. :P

Yeah, I decided to restrain myself a little with regards to the Andrew Ryan bit.

I'm confused though, I thought your previous position on Metroid Prime 3 was that you were pretty against it since it had no online component?

I agree that Eternal Sonata does look intriguing. Much moreso than Blue Dragon to be sure. I've logged a decent number of hours on BD so far and it's not bad, but not great either. Definitely could have been better.

@BlackSix

Maybe they'll have co-op in the inevitable sequel/prequel that comes out. I think if done correctly BS MP could be really cool though. Plasmid battles would rock! Imagine throwing an enemy's corpse at another player while they try to freeze you while they fend off another player from setting them on fire. And on and on. That would be pretty wild. Co-op would be great though too. I'm a big fan of co-op play in games.

Feel free to add me on Live anytime. Looks like H3 is going to be reasonably popular around here. :D

I may even go to one of the midnight events just for the sake of doing it. I've gone to midnight movie openings multiple times in the past and earlier this year I even went to one for a book. So why not go to one for a video game as well I say. :)

I would buy it if I owned an Xbox. No Halo 3 won't get me to buy an 360. I am to busy with Prime 3 anyways lol. However, after playing Prime 3 I don't know if I can ever go back to analog sticks. I can't wait till COD3 Heros 2 comes out on the Wii.

Enough side tracking tho. If I owned an Xbox I would defiantly pick up Halo 3.

Three years? Don't you mean six years.

Yeah know since Halo: Combat Evolved came out in 2001.

No I mean 3 years, since Halo 2 came out in 2004.

Who waits for the last game of the trilogy before the second one is out?

I would, but two reasons:

1. I don't have an Xbox 360
2. My mom thinks that M rated games are evil no matter what the content and I will definitely corrupt my mind with virtual alien killing, causing me to shoot someone in the face.

Actually, I have gotten one M rated game. Fable. But that got banned from my usage for two reasons:
1. "I didn't know that it would have THAT much blood"

2. "Number of times had sex? That's a stat?"

Just so you know, that stat was 0.

Fable was rated M? I didn't even noticed. Oh and you can play Mature games if your mature enough, i don't really think it has to do with age.

Some people mature faster then others. A good chunk of my video game collection are M rated games and I'm 15.
