Who's picking up Halo 3?
I've talked to a few of you on Live about this, but figured it was worthy of a topic.
How many of you plan to get Halo 3 at launch?
I'm trying to decide whether or not to get it right away. I'm probably 75% convinced at this point. If enough people on here are going to get it I figure it will be a worthwhile investment since there will be a number of cool people to play online with in that case.

Im not getting it, cuz I don't have a 360, hell I JUST got 2 weeks ago my first Black turd (Xbox 1) But I have like 4 or 5 friends getting it on day 1, and only 1 or 2 of em reseved it, because I garentee you that on day one with no reservation you can walk into a store and buy it with no problem, the game is gonna be stockpiled so high in storage it would rival the tallest building in the world.
But I can't wait to go to one of my buddy's houses and play 2-4 player co-op

Yeah. I'm definitely not worried about being able to find it even though it is going to sell in ridiculously high numbers opening day. I think that's why it went Gold almost a month ago. That way MS can have plenty of them available so that everyone who wants a copy can get one without any worries. I'm looking forward to the co-op more than anything. If it is as well done as the co-op in Gears it should be a blast.
@Charlie - You are wise to hold out for BioShock. I'm sure Halo 3 will be fun and all, but I have to think it will pale in comparison to BioShock. I know which one I would choose.

Hell my friend walked into eb games the first day Halo 2 was out and bought it easily, so imagine how easy it is gonna be to get Halo 3.
Unless Halo 3 is a complete flop, I don't think its gonna pale in comparison to Bioshock, because there is just a MASSIVE amout of hype for Halo 3, though I STILL havnt played Bioshock, I beleave its a REALLY good game.
And I dont think my Nvidia Geforce MX440 (This video card is like 3 or 4 years old
)can handle Bioshock, but Im pretty sure my P4 processor can (2.6ghz) and my 1.28gigs of RAM is enough)

IIRC, Bioshock specifically recommends a Core 2 Duo. So I don't think a P4 would quite cut it. (And an MX 440 certainly wouldn't.) RAM is fine though; I think it wants a gig or more.

I don't mean it will pale in comparison in sales. Halo 3 will obviously sell more than BioShock. I meant in terms of the quality of the game. Halo 3 will be a solid game I'm sure, but I can't imagine it will be a better overall game than BioShock. I guess I'll find out in a week and a half or so.Jongamer wrote:Unless Halo 3 is a complete flop, I don't think its gonna pale in comparison to Bioshock, because there is just a MASSIVE amout of hype for Halo 3, though I STILL havnt played Bioshock, I beleave its a REALLY good game.

What, no questions? Lame.jones wrote:"I am Andrew Ryan."
Meh, I know plenty of people bought their 360 just for this game, but I'm still not convinced. The mediocrity of the other titles makes me want to wait it out until Christmas. Besides, I'd much rather hold my dough for Eternal Sonata or Prime 3.

You just described one of my computers. Same graphics, CPU, and RAM!

but yeah Prime 3 is so frikkin' awsome, I just wish it had as much hype as Bioshock at least, Prime 3 is amazing for the first hour I played of it.
