sheesh, i had no clue there that many disk playing stations

i may have exagerated

it plays xbox, playstations, and some other kind of disks, i think dreamcast or something...but hes like almost forty, and hes never lied to me before, and he works on electronics for a living, so i think i believe him. its not portable though. wow, you guys are all really paranoid about games ...sheesh lol

i have no proof in pictures or anything, so believe it or say its bs, dont matter to me

He sounds like he was talking about the EvoX mod. Its decent and hot crap here in Japan (Japanese auctions are full of moded Xboxs). You can play every gaming system with a disk on it except for GameCube, PS2, and DreamCast. However there is a glorious thing that works great with the Xbox called emulation (!!!!!1!!oneONE1!!111) So you can technically play any system on a Xbox, just maybe not with the original disks (since you would have to put ROMs and stuff on the HD).
The EvoX stuff here in Japan allows for region free DVD playback, playback without DVD remote, Windows CE, new HDs, and other cool stuff (like picture and movie viewers). Almost forgot, a newer version allows the playback of DivX movies. And you can also copy Xbox game disks to the HD. Its pretty cool stuff. I will probably buy one before I leave Japan

why its pretty ez to do yourself and a lot cheaper
and there is tons of homebrew software for the xbox you can do more than that

Not as versital as the Xbox, remember the Xbox is a computer at heart.

The PS2 does have a offically supported Linux Kit. The only problem is the software that comes with it to write games restrict it to playing just on the console's hard drive (you can burn it and play it on a friend"s). The U.S. version is also sold out.

you can play games off a hard drive though compatibility issues with some games
it has media players but not ones that play almost every video format perfectley like the xbox media center
pretty much just divx and mpg and a few outhers but often there is lag

there are emulators for verious differint systems that run on it

there are also lots of outher stuff

he is right I injoy ps2 games more but the xbox being all standard computer parts makes it ezer to make that sort of stuff for it
