I'd say that it'd be cheaper to just buy one :)

You could technicly call the PS2p a portablized DVD player, and maybe the Dreamcast a portable DivX player.

Sparkfist makes a good point, but i read, that using dvd discs in the ps2 reduces the time the laser lasts for.

My Ps2 has stopped playing DVD's? The DVD drive sounds really strange and I start to get sparks even if I play a normal DVD, but PS2 games on DVD play ok???

It wouldn't be that hard to make a DVDPp. You would have to have a couple voltage regulators and a battery to power the player. Oh, and maybe a screen :P
Once I get some money I have a DVD player I want to buy and rip into it.

maybe ill stick with making a portable snes or ng4...

actually, my friend made an xbox play all video games that have disks...you could learn how to make one of those, and then you can portablize it, although i heard thats pretty hard..so maybe it could be close to possible

wait, so it can play ANY game that's on a disk?!?!?.....let's see that's....playstation, PS2, GC, saturn, sega cd, dreamcast....and probably more, although I can't think of them right now......anyway, what exactly did your friend do? with the explanation you gave it sounds like BS, but perhaps there's some proof that your friend did that.........
*and pertaining to the topic: yeah, you could make a DVDPp pretty easily with batteries, a screen, and maybe some regulators, although it'd be easier to just go out and buy a portable DVD player.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

yep thats bull crap

its true that the xbox has homebrew emualtors for most systems up to the playstation one I have tryed meny of them and most of them work well as far as emulators go so there is a small amount of truthfullness in it but that is as much as there is
