I finished a bit ago, good book, kinda ended a bit bleh, but the rest was good, answered tons of questions. I went to Walmart, parking lot was as packed as during the middle of the day, went to Albertson's and they were frickin closed, then went to a local grocery store and got one. Got home, finished watching the movie that I'd been watching before I left, started reading at 1:20am, decided it was time to sleep at 6:20am, got up at noon, ate breakfast, started reading again at 12:30, had a couple interruptions (dinner, IMing a couple people), and finally finished at 11pm. Not bad if I do say so myself, I'm now going to finish the 5th (which I was rereading before), then the 6th, and read the 7th again, hopefully my brother and friend will be done by then.

I got it at around 11 am yesterday and finished it 12 hours later. JK Rowling is so kill happy... BTW, who were the two people she was referring to when she said that they die?

I was wondering the same, several important people die.

Spoilers, highlight to read wrote:There was Mad-Eye and Hedwig at the beginning, Dobby at the Malfoy's/Bill's house, and Snape, Fred, Lupin, and Tonks at the Second battle of Hogwarts. Crabbe and Bellatrix also died, but nobody cares, and everyone knew Voldemort would die. Man that was a better ending than I could come up with. Good book over all and a good series too I liked it.

My copy arrived at 9:17AM 7/21/07 from Mr. UPS guy (woo $18 from amazon). Read it all day. Some interruptions (food, etc.). What sucked though, was that I was forced to go see Hairspray with my cousins (worst movie ever), and I tried to read it in the theater, but that didn't really work.

i finished the book at 1:34 AM, so it took me about 16 hours (including interruptions), longer than the other books did.

Anyway, I liked it. It did end a bit abruptly, but overall, I'd say it was a fitting end to the series. Not quite sure how it stacks up to the rest of the books yet, it still some needs time to sink in, and probably read through it a few more times.

I just finished the final book, and I'm still having trouble believing its over, having just graduated from highschool, I started reading (and rereading) the series since fifth grade.

The ending was so good, I don't know what to say, just amazing.
If you haven't read this book, go get it.

No, Voldemorts Killing Curse was rebounded upon himself, the disarming spell made the Elder Wand fly from Voldemort's hand to Harry's.

I don't feel like skimming through the last few pages again, but did it say where Lupin's kid was living? I thought when Lupin went to Bill and Fleur's house, he made Harry the godfather.
