Getting bitten by a radioactive spider and getting superpowers from it (instead of, oh, say, horribly rapid-spreading cancer) is more believable than a rich bipolar schizophrenic running around and blowing people up with all sorts of gadgets? Hell, that broke Canadian from the movie with the bear suit allegedly made a Halo/Batman-inspired suit of armor that's bulletproof and doesn't restrict movement much.

Are you guys (Non-Canadians) really that bad that you can't even name our Prime minister? Yours is Bush!
Bush isn't the Prime Minister, silly! He's the Emperor ("A retarded child emperor, but an emperor." as Bill Maher would say).

I don't see your point, are you saying Spiderman or Batman is more believable?

You are on a forum of nerds/geeks (pick the less offensive term in your opinion). Do you expect more people to vote for the nerdy guy with superpowers or the rich tough guy who was probably a jock in high school?

Duh.

Actually, it looks like he was fairly weak before he left to understand criminals. And I always overlook Spiderman's nerdiness because he is too busy whining all the time.

Batman. Big time.

Ha, I wish. Imagine how much easier America's Army would've been if the Army was allowed to use weapons designed by the enemy and had thusly gone with the Kalashnikov. As a character Nicolas Cage once played said: "Of all the weapons in the vast Soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947, more commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle, a weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple nine pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It will shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing's for sure: No one was lining up to buy their cars." (There was no real reason to post that quote; it doesn't bolster or help to clarify my point in any way, I just like it.)

Nice! I never imagined in a million years that I would be reading a Lord of War quote on Ben's forums.

Thank you for reminding me to watch it again. Nic Cage is the man! :D

And, oh yeah, to reiterate: Batman pisses all over Spider-Man.

Wait a second, how many people get super powers from being bit by mutant spiders? Then, compare that to how many people in the world have $10+ million. Theres a big difference. So being extremely strong and rich are a lot more "realistic".
Now...add the rest of what I said:

"Spiderman is more realistic!!! Villians attacking at any givin moment. Batman...they attack on a schedule according to mr. wayne's to-do list."

You just did a news report! You didn't include everything I said and threw it completely out of context. :P

Rich and power...yeah, however, that's all he has for him. Nothing more. Without the money, he wouldn't be who he is.

Spiderman is strugling to survive all the time while trying to be a hero as well. THAT life is more realistic then Batman.

The fact that Batman is a normal human who, through training and the ability to play on people's fears, is still able to compete with other super heroes with real super powers that they didn't work for is enough for me to say that Batman is clearly the coolest of the super heroes

Actually there are several. The ones that immediately come to mind are Iron Man, Green Arrow, and the Bat-derivations (Batgirl, Batwoman, Nightwing).

I found a Wiki with a more thorough list.

How was Spider-Man forced? The death of Peter Parker's uncle was the reason why he became a super hero. The death of Bruce Wayne's parents was the reason why he became a super hero. Their origins are fairly similar.

Gahk, Kurt how can you not know who Iron Man is? Hes a genius millionaire who got in a accident then made himself a Iron suit thus granting him his super powers. Hes one of the main Marvel super heroes... At least in Civil war he is.
