Bush isn't the Prime Minister, silly! He's the Emperor ("A retarded child emperor, but an emperor." as Bill Maher would say).Kurt_ wrote:Also, I must say, I'm watching who wants to be a millionaire, and She's asking the audience on the question "In Feb 2006, Stephen Harper succeeded Paul Martin as the prime minister of what country? Are you guys (Non-Canadians) really that bad that you can't even name our Prime minister? Yours is Bush!

Getting bitten by a radioactive spider and getting superpowers from it (instead of, oh, say, horribly rapid-spreading cancer) is more believable than a rich bipolar schizophrenic running around and blowing people up with all sorts of gadgets? Hell, that broke Canadian from the movie with the bear suit allegedly made a Halo/Batman-inspired suit of armor that's bulletproof and doesn't restrict movement much.
I don't see your point, are you saying Spiderman or Batman is more believable?Ecksem Diem wrote:Getting bitten by a radioactive spider and getting superpowers from it (instead of, oh, say, horribly rapid-spreading cancer) is more believable than a rich bipolar schizophrenic running around and blowing people up with all sorts of gadgets? Ha, I wish. Imagine how much easier America's Army would've been if the Army was allowed to use weapons designed by the enemy and had thusly gone with the Kalashnikov. As a character Nicolas Cage once played said: "Of all the weapons in the vast Soviet arsenal, nothing was more profitable than Avtomat Kalashnikova model of 1947, more commonly known as the AK-47, or Kalashnikov. It's the world's most popular assault rifle, a weapon all fighters love. An elegantly simple nine pound amalgamation of forged steel and plywood. It doesn't break, jam, or overheat. It will shoot whether it's covered in mud or filled with sand. It's so easy, even a child can use it; and they do. The Soviets put the gun on a coin. Mozambique put it on their flag. Since the end of the Cold War, the Kalashnikov has become the Russian people's greatest export. After that comes vodka, caviar, and suicidal novelists. One thing's for sure: No one was lining up to buy their cars." (There was no real reason to post that quote; it doesn't bolster or help to clarify my point in any way, I just like it.Kurt_ wrote:He's saying that the broke Canadian created an ub3r great suit that the US. Nice! I never imagined in a million years that I would be reading a Lord of War quote on Ben's forums.Ecksem Diem wrote:Ha, I wish. Thank you for reminding me to watch it again. Nic Cage is the man!
And, oh yeah, to reiterate: Batman pisses all over Spider-Man.
Now...add the rest of what I said:vskid wrote:Wait a second, how many people get super powers from being bit by mutant spiders? Then, compare that to how many people in the world have $10+ million. Theres a big difference. So being extremely strong and rich are a lot more "realistic".Ness wrote:Spiderman is more realistic!!!
"Spiderman is more realistic!!! Villians attacking at any givin moment. Batman...they attack on a schedule according to mr. wayne's to-do list."
You just did a news report! You didn't include everything I said and threw it completely out of context.
Rich and power...yeah, however, that's all he has for him. Nothing more. Without the money, he wouldn't be who he is.
Spiderman is strugling to survive all the time while trying to be a hero as well. THAT life is more realistic then Batman.

Actually there are several. The ones that immediately come to mind are Iron Man, Green Arrow, and the Bat-derivations (Batgirl, Batwoman, Nightwing).Kurt_ wrote:Batman is the only superhero who isn't acutally super, he's simply aided by his wealth, power, and military gadgets.
I found a Wiki with a more thorough list.
How was Spider-Man forced? The death of Peter Parker's uncle was the reason why he became a super hero. The death of Bruce Wayne's parents was the reason why he became a super hero. Their origins are fairly similar.NiN^_^NiN wrote:The way i see it spiderman got the powers and was forced to use them where as batman a non super powered man decided to help protect the city
