Prefered screen/tv
I'm looking to make a portable and as the screen's on eof the key parts I'd like to ask what type. For instance should I save up and buy an LCD made for the PSOne/PS2/Xbox/GC or buy a portable tv and butcher it.
Please if/when you make a suggestion be specifice to type and (opitional) make a comment to why you like it.
Thank you.

I would buy the official sony ps1 screen. I have one and it's the best screen that I have. You can even get them cheaper than most portable tvs. http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dl ... one+screen
The best place to get them cheap probably would be ebay.

That's the tv I was going to use before I messed it up. From what I can remeber, each PCB is about 4 inches or so (I'm probably wrong so don't get mad if I am). It's really nice and compact. Too bad I broke it......
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

yes its about 4 inches....and how did you break it? I have broken them before but I know a trick to fixing them
Soler a wire from the + input on the buttom of the tuner/volume dial board and attatch it to pin 7 of that board (looking the speaker side up and counting from the left side)
hope that helps!

I think it broke because too much voltage went in. I was using a car adapter to convert 12 volts into the 6v it needs and I think the car adapter got screwed up so that it didn;t convert the voltage anymore. When I get home I'll try what you said.
I hope it works!

yeah, it's a simple fuse that blows. I have blown 2 TVs and fixed them both this way. One TV broke because I switched the polarity accidentally, and the other broke because I inserted all the pins one over (so one pin was sticking out and the rest were all mis-alligned). With this simple connection I repaired both of them
Good lucK!

OK I have a Paypal and ebay account, from everyone (if possible without crashing the server) tell me if a portable tv or PSOne screen would be better. I'm going to finish up my PSp first then move on to my N64, then the Dreamcast. I know what I'm doing for the last two I need one for the PSOne.
