Well that looks pretty, and I have to admit that I had no where near the the number of problem with 98 as I have with XP. I have a laptop running 98 SE, and well it's very nice I doubt the system can run the kind of themes or skins you're planning on running.
Harshboy wrote:Woah!!! 98 SE was by far my favorite Windows OS, and now you can make it look like XP/Vista and operate like XP too? Sweet!!

Seriously, if you find a hack to let 98 SE use the power of my 3.2 Ghz CPU, 1 GB of Ram, and my Nividia GeForce 6800 Graphics card, GOODBYE VISTA AND HELLO 98 SE
Better start looking for drivers. In my A+ software class we installed Win98 on Dells that ran P4, 1GB ram, nVidia 440 (or higher) and LDC screen. We had to pull out Dell's driver discs to get drivers to have resolution go beyond 800x600, and to run the processor better, oh and yeah give us internet through the ethernet port.

I'm just giving you a fair warning. Most machines are not designed to run 98 and so lack a lot of legacy, and that will make you head hurt.

Whoah, I think my laptop has all drivers for 98...

Will this run programs that only run on XP? If so, I see my hard drive being reformatted in the near future... :)
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

lol. thats pretty awesome. Having a copy of windows 98 myself I almost want to try it... dont have any computer that I want to give up right now though

As far as modding the start menu to look like XP, I think thats just waste of resources. I mean, come on. I don't see why you don't just use XP if you want it so bad anyways.

You can install as much RAM as you want and as much Disk space as you want in Win98SE. The RAM requires a registry fix, and so does the disk space, but the disk can't be NTFS :( The fixes are relitively easy to install (merge a few .REG files and update a DLL or two.)
