Emulators are legal. Homebrew ROMs are legal. Commercial ROMs are not. (A common misconception.)

I've had issues w/ SNES9X. Especially when running RoboTrek. (text sprites fail to draw on screen)
ZSNES is just *Perfect*!

NES - FCE Ultra
SNES - ZSNES(stable online FTW!!!)
Genesis - Gens and Kega Fusion are both solid
N64 - Project64(though i have some issues, but 64 emulation is tuff)
PS1- ePSXe if I want to pretty up some games(and have the plugins for it). Otherwise its pSX for compatibility(only emulator I've know of that runs Megaman Legends 2, and its self contained, all you need is the BIOS)
Arcade - MAME, or winkawaks(sp?) for CPS-2 games
GB/GBC/GBA - Visualboyadvance, everything else pails in comparison.

The whole subject of ROMs is always a little fuzzy in terms of legality. It's legal to download a ROM you don't own, as long as you delete it within 24 hours.

As far as I know, it's also legal to download ROMs of games you OWN and KEEP them indefinitely.

Exactly. That's the problem I always saw with that rule...vskid wrote:So you just have your ROMs delete automatically at midnight and re-download at 1 a.m. Keepin' it legal.atari2600a wrote:The whole subject of ROMs is always a little fuzzy in terms of legality.
