Anyone here still fool around with the Quake I code, It's really easy to learn, and I was kinda hoping someone could help me make the total conversion I've been working on. Anyone willing to help?

As for my the sourcecode to my mod and the mod and the registered version of Quake, talk to me through PM.
My total conversion is almost complete, coding whise, I need some decent models and maps. Any more cool coding, plus a good name for the mod other than "MYMOD" (which is the name of the folder that the mod resides in) is also appreciated.
Working on the Hamburglar right now, I'm modifying an enemy model I made a while ago, he's got that weird look the hamburglar has to him. He slings lavaballs for his attack and spews green blood once he dies. I even programmed a cool voice and a really gory death for him.
gamemasterAS wrote:So what exactly are you making, Like a new games on the quake engine ?
Yeah, a game that requires none of the original quake files to run. I'm gonna use the darkplaces engine for OpenGL and D3DQuake for the software rendered one. Darkplaces is the most advanced Quake engine ever with support for Quake I & III maps, and Quake I-III models. Plus shaders and stuff. Advanced TGA textures will replace the original ones plus realtime lighting.

way ahead of you, I am compiling right now. QuakeDC or RadQuake Finito, I think I'm gonna go with radquake finito, because it has Multiplayer. Did you download. Do you like the alien guy, he might become the hamburglar.
