Xbox Controller on USB
Since the Xbox Controller ports are basically USB Ports in Disguise, is it possible to splice a Xbox Controller and the Male ended USB cord together and download the Correct drivers and use it on my Computer?
Re: Xbox Controller on USB
Yeah, actually just a few minutes ago my instructor mentioned that he did just that, when I noticed that there was a linux kernel driver for the thing. I would suggest getting a connection testing tool (multimeter) and use that to be use the cables are connected to the right ones on the USB. I fiddled around with doing that once and couldn't figure out what wires went where for the USB end.Jongamer wrote:Since the Xbox Controller ports are basically USB Ports in Disguise, is it possible to splice a Xbox Controller and the Male ended USB cord together and download the Correct drivers and use it on my Computer?

Try this site. I've got a driver for using the Xbox headset on my computer (note; needs AR memory card adapter), and works great.

Yes it works like a Dream with Halo, all I CAN'T get it to do is Use Rumble with halo, and I had to remap some buttons because they dont allow you to overlap 2 COntrolles on the same button. so all I didnt was switch the Switch gun Button to the Back button.
