agreed, intertaining but seriously you could not have hyped the 360 more if M$ paid you to do it.

also could you possible be more biased next time? I didnt hear enough about xbox360 and how much better it is than the other two this time!

also also according to vg charts xbox 360 is at 7.74 million consoles in a year wii 3.19 million in a bit over TWO MONTHS.

Hey I had to put SOMETHING in for the intro. I had no ideas and Dale was too busy watching the zillionth episode of 24/Buffy/whatever the hell it is to help much.

Yes we are biased, so what? If you look at most gaming sites, the Wii games always get the worst reviews yet the writers have to qualify their review with "could be better" "let's see next time" "still needs work" If we choose to speak in absolutes there's no editor to stop us.

Look at Gamespot, the Wii games average a 6/10 in general. What's worse, us being biased or other sites candy-coating the shortcomings?

Also we ripped on PS3 almost as much as the Wii. Don't worry, we'll do some very different topics for the next episode. Not sure what, but something other than "this versus that"

Well, say something negative against the 360, anything. >_> then, we will be even. I have no problem with you expressing your dislike of the wii, but not the people who like the wii. >_> that is like racism to a new extreme. Say "I don't like the wii," not "Noone who plays the wii can play anything else."

you said yourself that at first you thought the ds was one gigantic gimmick and now ou love the ds. the wii came out two months ago, i think its a bit early to judge. i agree that COD3 was nearly unplayable but all the other games that i have played i have very much enjoyed.

We said things against the 360, namely the WAY too small hard drive, no digital video output, die-hard haters hurting their sales, no Japanese support... But by and large it seems to be the console that's done the most things *right*.

And yes while I found the DS gimmicky originally and would agree it'll take time for the Wii to likewise mature, I think the Wii has less "room to grow" overall since it requires you use the special control rather than have it as an option.

A good example would be Portrait of Ruin - it barely uses the touch screen for anything, it just happens to be on the DS. So with the DS the gimmick is an option, whereas the Wii it's a requirement. Plus touch screens are very much a part of the world now (credit card machines, PDA's, those crappy games in bars) whereas waving a wand at a TV isn't so much.

you have to keep in mind that not all wii games will require the wiimote either, like super smash bros brawl you will use the gamecube or clasic controller all the (i agree on this) overpriced VC games you dont need the wiimote. i think it will be much the same with the wiimote as with the touchscreen on the ds, at first it wont be used well and will feel like a tacked on gimick but as devs get used to the way it works and they are better able to program for the wii the quality of the controlls and games will improve. right now the games are for the most part pretty underwhelming but have release titles ever been the best ones on the system? nope its usually the ones that come out a year or two years into the cycle that really shine.

You don't have to believe us now, but in 2008 when 360 has conquered the gamingverse our truths will become self evident.

I know a lot of you are younger... something you'll realise as you grow old is that there's a big difference in life between what you'd LIKE to happen and what WILL happen.

Personally I'd like Sony or Nintendo (if they had a better system) to beat MS since they are entertainment companies, but it's not going to happen. That said, there's nothing wrong with the 360 and it's a big step from the Xbox 1 and its god-awful mess of a controller. (OK caveat - the Wii-Mote is better than the XBox 1 controller, Jones, proceed to puke)

2 years ago people probably didn't think the DS would have beaten the PSP (as badly) so come on folks, you can't have it all. I mean, at least MS hasn't entered the portable market..... YET! (dum da daaaaaa!!!!)

You're a good guy, Ben, and your podcasts are quite entertaining, but you're far too self-contradictory to be a reliable source of future predictions anymore. I mean, look; at the launch of the DS, you criticized the extremely innovative and potential-filled hardware, calling it "gimmicky". Now 2 years later, you love the damn thing. And now we stand here as we listen yet again to your criticism of innovative hardware, playing the "gimmick" card. Give the Wii a chance. The claim that developers aren't making games specifically for the Wiimote is mostly true; for LAUNCH TITLES. It took the DS a good while for developers to start using the touch screen in new, fun ways that worked for gaming. The Wii's development team will start do the same in years, probably even months, to come. Even you must realize the great POTENTIAL the Wiimote has.

Hey theres things I dont agree with Ben and I do agree with most of his stuff but he does make some good points about the Wii. The Wii has been getting some crappy reviews for a Nintendo System. Nintendo use to take a lead in every catagory but now they just have kids games mostly for it. I really liked Mario Kart 64 but the one for the Game Cube was a real dissapointment to me, If they make one for the Wii I hope it better than the game cube one. I bet the 8 bit NES has better review than the Wii. I mean they had to recall the straps that were originally with it because people were throwing the controllers in to their tv and breaking it but there usually are recalls for new systems.
