I would use a small heatsink and a turbine fan the same height as the heatsink. Also remember to place a vent directly beside the fan[well front, back, side whatever you want to call the output side and also make sure it has a place to suck air from and this should be close to the front or back of the heatsink.
This will only work if everything is packed so tight that air can only flow over the heatsink or a proven favorite of mine is to build a small shroud around the in-vent, heatsink, fan, and output vent.
These types of fans tend to be rather quite and efficent. make sure yours is not a downward output as that is where you would have to put your vent. This is very efficent if you use a shroud to direct airflow. I recomend adding vents to your battery compartemnt though and anywhere that is not covered by the heatsink.
