I agree. there marketing plan isnt good, (the whole all people thing but expensive controllers)

And, I think they brought out something i hadn't thought about in the Wii. Hardrive. I was always convinced it would have one. Maybe some extensive benheck style modding. >__> Although it does have a SD card port.

The Wii also has 512 meg of internal flash RAM. This could hold a LOT of virtual games as the biggest N64 games even didn't exceed 32 megs.

And NES games ran 128-378k.

Even if you needed portable storage, a small SD card is cheap as hell.

In addition, it has a lot of great games (which is the most important thing) between first party, third party, and even the Xbox Live Arcade.

If you end up picking one up, look me up online sometime. Maybe we can save World War II with Ben.

jones is right. If you guys decide to get a 360, you will not be disappointed. It has lots of great games, and plenty more coming down the pipe. Just be careful when you play Oblivion. It cost me and the misses to have a couple of arguements.

I just wish the PS3 were cheaper, but given the fact that Sony is losing a lot of their exclusives, that point is moot. As far as Nintendo exclusives, well, I have a DS to meet some of that need. I used to look at Nintendo systems through the fuzzy haze of fanboyism, but when you look at it logically, ben and jones are right, although I wish you guys were wrong about the big N. I miss the glory days of the SNES.

In all honesty, I wish I was wrong too. There were a lot of things to love about the NES and SNES respectively. Then there were only a couple of things to love about the N64 and Gamecube. Now with the Wii it seems like there will be very little to love. I will reserve final judgment until after I have played it a bit, but as of right now I'm not convinced.

I can see where you're coming from with Oblivion.

Somehow I managed to avoid the spousal arguments. Mostly, because my wife was engrossed in Harvest Moon on the Gamecube (one of those few things to love about the Gamecube).
