Has Anybody Tried 12v in the PSone Screen?

FYI amps cant damage or break a screen as they are draw and so no more than what the screen needs is taken at a time. Most likely you had too much voltage (think pressure and amps are the water) too many volts and with out a regulator you can easily damage the electronics inside. So you couldnt have destroyed it by too many amps.

umm....amps are drawn not pushed so those aren't a problem...

Yep, like spark said, probably an issue of to many volts. Amps cant really break anything. (Exept fuses which prevent too maany amps from being drawn...)

Then why did my LCD break at 5v? My ground wire must've touched the 12v line coming from the PSU I used. Oh well, the backlight was broke anyway, I don't care.

The 7805 will not work properly if 7v is not put in. If you want to use 6v you need to replace it with a LDO (Low Drop Output) regulator.

The PSOne car adapter, buy one of those mulity voltage dc adapters from RadioShack, or as many of us do use a 7.2v battery.
