Personally I'd like to see more people go back to just good ole classic rock a la The Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Who. Other than that yea your right we need more good heavy metal bands like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Black Sabbath, etc....

BTW Nes Fan is that Ike Barenholtz in your sig? Cause it sure as hell looks like him.

But yeah, we do need more good heavy metal bands. The only good one I can think of that's popped up within the last few years that you didn't already mention is DragonForce. Then again, they aren't even technically "heavy metal". They're classified as Power Metal, a supposed step above heavy metal.

We do have a slew of Nu Metal bands, though; Disturbed, System of a Down. Not the greatest, but hey, I'll make due.

And yes, emo music=NO! Like Luc said, there's plenty of good music opportunites out there (doesn't even have to be rock) that need to be explored more. Either way, good luck, I guess...

I like emo, and any grungy stuff that keeps a hard melody, but for the love of God stay away from emo crap. During my computer class, every day, this kid would sit right next to me and blast emo crap out of his PC and try to "Convert Me" by playing the absolute most depressing songs I've ever heard... And even worse, it would always be the same songs over and over again... Linkin Park, Panic at the Disco, and all of that emo crap. I loved the class topic, but every day I would leave that class feeling depressed.

Oh, and we need more AC/DC, Queen, etc... type bands and music to come back IMHO.

He already does both, and when you're that low, it's really hard to kick someone any more. More like, you kick them, and your foot gets stuck and the deppression kind of just flows into you until you can pull your foot out.

All you need is love... But seriously try 70's music. It has a certian(sp?) ring to it i can't put my finger on it. I also liked micheal jackson when he was a poor black man instead of a rich white woman who gets too close.
