My Band Name Ideas

Post by vgcollector666 »

I need a name for my band. I have it narrowed down to four different ones. Please don't post ideas for new names, but do tell me which of the four you think is the best. Thanks.

There are four different ones for the Homemade Sin one, I don't know which of the four is better. Please Help.

Considering it's one of the only ones that doesn't relate to something R-rated, I'm gonna say Homemade Sin.

There are enough dirge bands in the world. Enough emo and goth fodder. And guessing by those names, that was the direction you were taking. Why not try to go for something a little more inventive. Try focusing on melody instead of sound. Listen to a group named Mono Puff for ideas. Maybe even TMBG, too. But please, don't just do some depressing crap that no one but attention-cravers will listen to...if you care about the current music scene, you will.

I agree with Luc. There's too much emo, goth, and grunge music out there. Why can't anyone go with music that relies more on music and lyrics rather than reverb and screaming? I mean, Wintergreen isn't bad, but they're basically the only indie band I've come across that doesn't churn out tons of emo music on bargain basement, Sharpie labeled CD-Rs.

There's too much emo music out there, why can't anyone play music like Dave Mathews Band or Chicago anymore? (And people wonder thay I don't listen to much of anything newer than 1994...)

And all those names are, in my opinion, distasteful garbage. :|

This post makes me sound like I'm in my late 40s. lol

yea sufjan stevens is the man. I just bought Come on Feel the Illinoise.

If you like Sufjan and the Shins, try listening to Bright Eyes, Belle and Sebastian, Animal Collective, and The Unicorns (now named Islands)

How about a new rave artist? Here's some inspiration, I guess.

Ugh. Those are all way to cliche and generic.

But since you don't want any other name suggestions, I'd prefer Dark Astrix*
I'm totally the 2008th member.
