I'm sorry I can't agree with you on the part of LD being superior to DVDs in both video and auido. You can get better then the standard MPEG-2 compression quality on a DVD, so you'd have less time but a picture that could hold up to lower High Definition. Also as for audio, uncompressed is uncompressed, and there are auido standards for DVDs, they just were not adopted by the RIAA.

And as it stands according to Atari2600a DVD's standard resolution beats LD by 80 line on the virtical portion. Then keep in mind that most DVD are widescreen (768), with a LD will be stuck with the crapy 4:3 ratio.

Nobody knows, found a laserdisc player in the road once with star wars.
and since when does just adding text to a photo make it a photoshop job. Any one could do it with paint. Ahh yes my friends MS Paint.

I almost bought a LD player at goodwill for $8 but I ended up being mega cheap and not buying it.

EDIT: and Betamax was far superior to the VHS, one of my friends has one and we watched StarWars on it.

Ya we had a beta machine. My mom would record Disney channel shows on it when we would get the disney channel free for like 3 days at a time. Back when it didnt come with basic cable. So I would watch the same episodes for about a month until the next preview came around.

That must be a nice find!

I'd make a "real" photoshop, but I don't know of anything that would be really funny. Any suggestions? (I know how to use all the tools, filters & effects, I just don't know how to utilize them to make something funny!

Great news! Monty Python & The Holy Grail arrived in the mail today! Once I get my hands on the not-gas-damaged camera I have (Ha!), I'll take some pictures of it, throw them together in PhotoShop, & display it's 1337N355 to the world wide interweb!

Laserdisks are real neato. My uncle has all the old Star Wars movies on laserdisk. He has like 700 laserdisks in his garage.

Though I still find vinyl video to have more novelty.
