you could allways do this,

Wait for someone you know to buy an old style DS, ask for the box and everything else. take it back to the store from whist they bought it, and trade it in. :-D

You know, they'll see the difference between a new DS and one that has been used for 2 years :roll: . The reg. number is stored inside the internal DS memory so no chance of taking off the sticker on the back. I still don't understand how you can throw a DS in a pool?

PS Gamestop will take broken units, they just charge you for it dso you do no get as much on you trade-in

Also, waiing for it to dy would have been choice, but if it fell in the pool turned on it is hpeless, te unit would have fried on impact

The barcode and the numbers on mine disapeared. The sticker was there but it was all white.

Okay, that didn't help at all.

It might live. This morning I turned it on, and The screens came on then It cut off.... Which means.... It probably isn't fried. Oh, and it a pool we have at home. So no chlorine. We use special chemicals...

They're still going to be ions dissolved in the water which make it a great conducter of electricity. Pull the whole thing apart, clean it with alcohol dipped Q-tips and be patient (don't turn it on for a couple days at least)

Thats sounds like F2 is dead. Try shorting F2.

Umm, my brother said about 2 seconds. He dived in....


My ds lite is always protected by an airtight waterproof aluminium case... It fell in the lake today. :P I threw it in. I fished it out with a magnet on the end of a rod (I put a layer of copper in) and it was fine!

Magnets don't stick to aluminum, only iron, nickel and cobalt, so I have a hard time buying that story. :| Either the case isn't aluminum or you're telling stories. :wink:
