i never knew my portable was that cool
ok to answer the dpad ?:
if you rip open the namco jpystiq its just a bunch of tact switchs thats get bumped by some plastuc that moves when you move the joystiq
on th namco board it has pinouts for up down left and right
i just wired up some tacts to it
easy as pie

yeah from what i see, the pinouts are simply labeled for eeeeveryone to see
pretty easy to work with, hard to slim it. but i had an idea to have a dpad and a wheel apart for the twist control on the namco 2
