I did download 2xsmash, but I haven't played too much of it yet. It seems kind of too jumpy, but I see it having a lot of potential to become better. I'm a big fan of smash bros so I can only see this getting better. As for sand, I saw it came out, but didnt try it yet. I'll definitely give it a whirl

a lot of people at my school have a PSP but I have a DS. I don't really have the guts to tell them though because someone did and they started calling him a loser right away

. I'll leave it too someone stronger then me, if you know what I mean. Some people can really say like: You don't know SH*T about it so shut up! and then they don't know what to say anymore. I'm not that kind of person and I will only tell my closest friends what I really like. But seriously I think it is very strange that some people buy a PSP and then don't have any games for them... And there are a lot of these! They just buy it to be cool you know... I don't dislike the PSP but: PSP=250â‚¬ (gigpack cause you'll need it)
games= aprox. 20â‚¬ more expensive then a DS game, so about 60â‚¬
ok say I would buy a PSP with 2 games then that would be 250â‚¬(gigpack) + 60â‚¬(GTA LC stories) + 60â‚¬(SSX) which is 370â‚¬ (!!!!!!)
now if I would buy a DS (let's say the Lite because it's newer)
150â‚¬ + 40â‚¬ (mariokart) + 40â‚¬ (animal crossing) which comes to 230â‚¬ and that is 140â‚¬ less! so I could buy a DS lite with 6 games for the price of a PSP with two. And that's quite a difference if you ask me.

I'm not rich or anything, but I have a PSP and a DS. I got both of them on their respective launch days. I like the DS for it's wide array of games I've already played, and all of them are good. I like the PSP (1.5, NEVER UPGRADING) because of the wealth of homebrew for it. And it doesn't involve a flashcart. I have a DS flashcart, but that's unimportant because not enough homebrew is out for the DS. With my PSP, I only have two games (and probably no more will be bought) but I use it with ScummVM to play Sam & Max, the Monkey Island series (only up to 3 though) and many other retro games. The DS port of the same program, albeit workable, could never run Curse of Monkey Island, or some of the later scumm games.

if you like the psp for its homebrew (and sony hates you for it) why not get a gp2x instead? its all homebrew and has a great community behind it and is 100% open source

I hate it when people are all over the PSP for the good graphics. They say the DS has horrible graphics. But 1) the DS has ok-well graphics for a portable and 2) it has the tons more games in which are better, for the most part, (and cheaper) than the PSP. Everyone only has like 2 games for the PSP, the rest are DVD's or... music. But you already could have an ipod/MP3 player and portable DVD player (or just an ipod video, best deal)

) which plays real DVD's if you want music and TV. And DS still has wifi too! and not to mention, DS/DS lite are smaller and have better battery life.

-The main people who I know that have a PSP only have it for graphics but only have 2 or 3 games and some DVD's.

No matter what the situation, a consumer will defend his own decision even when he or she cannot support his or her arguements. It's all part of convincing yourself that you made the right choice with your money.

As far as I can see it, the PSP is very popular among the stereotypical 'jocks'. I'm not saying that only jocks buy the PSP, I'm just trying to convey the idea that the type of adult more likely to buy a PSP is also less likely to be open-minded. They turn to their best skills when defending the PSP: insults spewed out in rapid succession.

On the other hand, the adult more likely to buy the DS is also more likely to be open-minded and considerate. After all, he or she still enjoys the classic characters like Mario even as an adult, and he or she doesn't need a game to be packed with cursing, crime, and murder to be entertaining.

I owned a PSP for a few months. After a while I decided that I wasn't to happy with the available games, and I found the device very uncomfortable to hold. I switched over to a DS because it suits my own needs, and I find it entertaining.

All the argueing going in is really quite superfluous in my mind. All that matters is whether the console you own makes you happy or not, in my opinion.
