DS and PSP... Can't we just get along!?
I know I'm kind of new here, but everywhere I go, there's a constaint war between DS and PSP owners! Why? Can't we get along? Here's my view:
I bought a DS around a week after it came out. This is of course before the PSP. I thought is was great! My GBA couldn't compare to that! That's all there was to compare it too! My cousin got a DS for the holidays, and we played together with them all the time! It was awesome! The wireless play was like nothing we'd ever seen!
Then the PSP came out, and he sold he DS and got that. Now he mocks me having a DS, and I haven't even told him about my DS lite yet.
PSP owners think they're all that because the PSP has great graphics and good games. That's great. They should be happy, the PSP is a great system. But cut it with the "DS sucks" or "DS is gay." It's annoying. With the DS lite out, most DS owners say, "Hey cool! I want one!" While PSP owners say, "Dude, the graphics still suck and it's still gay. It's a waste of money."
Why don't DS owners ever make fun of PSP owners? This is a question I can't answer. It's like owning a DS makes you a better person. I'm going to say this, and many people are not going to like it. PSP owners are like Nazis there I said it. If you don't have good graphics, you are not worthy. Sorry. Seeya.
I like both, but I have a DS. It's not that I don't like the PSP, anything but that, it's a great system, but I just don't have the money. And I like the DS's style of games better. No offence PSP owners.
In conclusion: PSP owners, next time you see that guy playing his DS, don't call him gay, and don't insult him.
To make this less spammy:
DS owners, have you ever been made fun of?
PSP owners, have you ever made fun of a DS owner?

Nice post. Seriously, no sarcasm.
I think the reason DS players don't mock PSP is because Nintendo is a friendlier company.
Example: I used to play Halo 2 like none other, getting in to fights with others, cussing, screaming, throwing controller. Ech. I got rid of that crap and replace it with a DS, and GCN. Now the most mad I've gotten is calling my brother mean for breaking our promise to not hurt eachother in Free-for-all in SSBM.
Nintendo is an extremely fun company. Releasing games with actual gameplay and teamwork.
Sony has a lot of sour fanboys. Sony has always had pretty good graphics and gameplay.
Microsoft should stick to computers.
Kidding! They're all about graphics and dashboards, though.
Very intense competition, extremely rude players.
I like Nintendo most because of the "playing together" idea. It's so... fun, and it doesn't matter if you lose.

Continuing my DS adventures:
One summer, shortly after getting the DS although the PSP had come out, I went to a camp and brought my DS, thinking, "I'm so cool with ma DS! Woo! Yeah, I'm gonna be the coolest guy there!"
But no. The guys with the PSP were.
Another "funny" thing.
The day after getting my DS lite (Monday) I wanted to bring it to school. My mom was worried. She thought that someone might steal it. I said, "Mom, only true Nintendo fanboys would steal a DS lite, and true Nintendo fanboys don't steal."
This is when it hit me. People who only have Nintendo systems, will probably grow up to be nicer people then those growing up with Sony and Microsoft. Sony and Microsoft's games are more violent, while Nintendo focuses on fun. My first system was an N64. The only non-Nintendo system I almost bought was the PSP. I didn't have enough money. And I'm glad I didn't have enough money.
Kinda off-topic: Am I the only one expecting loads of used Gamecubes without controllers when the Wii comes out?

Ok you took it too far there, I am a PSP owner and soon to be a DS LITE owner, but I mean come on, comparing PSP owners to the gassings, experimentation on living people, caging, torturing, mass killing, and stupidity of the Nazi regime is just wrong. Most PSP owners I know also have a DS, and are the nicest people. The DS is geared toward a completely different type of game. I love my PSP and I will love my DS.Super Cameraman wrote: PSP owners are like Nazis there I said it. If you don't have good graphics, you are not worthy. Sorry. Seeya.
Oh and by the way, I have made fun of a DS owner, but not because of his DS, but because he bought an N-GAGE
EDIT: you can't say Sony and M$... nevermind. You can't say that Sony has violent games, and Nintendo does not. Nintendo has Violent games too, quantity is the matter in this statement. Sony has more of those Violent games, but definatly Nintendo definatly does have them (ResEvil4, Geist, GTA on GBA...)

the problem is they bouth rock and suck at the same time. it wouldnt be to bad if one was like hey i blow, but nope they bouth just suck... so it comes down to how much money you want to spend on a system that doesnt take advantage of its gimic. DS has all that cool touch screen junk but youve got to play some lame ass disney game on it since nintendo is still holding back all the games from the east... (im looking at you katamari) then theres the psp way way tomuch money and copulate its got good games but that thing pisses me off if they built a real handheld they would make it load fast and they would make it more about the multiplayer thing (nither of those two are good at it so i wont make it an isue.) yeah well i'll play any of witch i could ither afford or want to play games with. I wont even think about the movies and internet junk cus that not why i want a psp or DS I want to play games on it if they sell it with a browser I'll buy it what ever and i know the Psp has a built in browser still not enough to make me spend that much.;/rrant/stoned/pissed off/AHAHAAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAH/banded

Back ontopic: What I was really going for in this thread was to see if I'm alone is being made fun of by PSP owners. And I'm not saying that PSP's are bad, I said it enough, they're amazing, but the DS just.... appealls to me more. I don't know why.
-Super, who know that Nazi analagy was probably a bad idea.

I like them both.Sure, I have a Ds($30!Woohoo!) and not a Psp, but that is just because I don't have $200 to spend.I play the display Psp at my local Gamestop all the time and it's great. All of this 'My favorite company rocks yours is stupid' thing is for losers.

Laugh and the world laughs with you; It's inhabitants are an entirely different story.

Im made fun of all the time couse of my prefered consoles to game on. From Super nintendo, To Saturn/N64, to Dreamcast, and now GBA, DS, and GCN. If you are made fun of for as long as i have you get used to the pain. Now if you excuse me im going to grab my sniper rifle, snipe somebody and blame the book "Of Mice and Men"
The Arguments i hear about the PSP > DS, is The screen is too small, andthe battery power sucks, both for the DS. All i have to say is, the DS has sold more units than the PSP 2:1.
