DS and PSP... Can't we just get along!?

It's like the Mac vs PC thing. I know some people won't admit it's the same, but it is.

Guy 1: "dude the ___ is gay get the ----"
Guy 2: "no the ---- sucks. the ___ pwns!"
Guy 1: "no it doesn't! ---- is better than ___!!"
*fighting*
*brawling*
*ambulance*

There are several reasons such pointless arguments arise:

1. The people who are arguing are clueless about the other side (ie PSP people insulting DS people, or PC people insultimg Macs.); They have no idea what they're arguing about.

2. They do not know any other way of expressing their opinions rather than to use words and phrases like "sucks" and "gay".

3. People are generally closed-minded.

I say, everyone can make their own opinions and they shouldn't be mocked because of them. Live and let live. (or if you happen to be in a band with Paul McCartney, Live and Let Die.

)

not really, maybe in japan but not worldwide, the PSP is Pwning the DS worldwide.

Heh, its funny. The couple times I brought my GP2x in school, kids were all like "Durrr...let me pway wit yer PSP" And then I explained to them that it was a GP2x. And they were like what the hell is that? So I had to explain it was a media/game player and all. Apparently, everyone that I showed it to was like dude that thing rocks and they all wanted to play it.

I guess its kind of good having a console as an underdog, because if nobody knows about it, it is less likely to be bashed. I believe I'm probably the only kid in Jersey who actually owns one of these, or its very unlikely that I'll ever see anyone else with one.

I used to know three people with PSPs, two of them traded in for DSs. The third still has a PSP. He is my pal Javabrain, and we have PSP/DS arguements all the time.

I like the DS best. Cartridges=zero load time. It also has all the nintendo first-party games.
The PSP is ok. It just costs too much, I hate the controls, and the load times are as long as KOTOR 2. Battery life was good on the one I played, and the internet access would be nice.

I think the issue is the psp is mainly bought by jocks with too much money and the DS happens to be tailored to the actual gamers who try to examine technology and find the purpose beyond computing cycles

hells yea gp2x for the win! lol i love my 2x but if someone offered me a ds lite i would take it and RUN! run liike the wind! i want a ds a lot, psp, meh my gp2x can do everything it can and is from a MUCH friendlier and nicer and less evil company that loves open source and has a great community with it

A little offtopic, have you tried the new Squidgesnes .37a with auto frameskip. It runs amazingly well, especially when overclocked to 266mhz.

Now to be on topic, I don't own either a PSP or a DS. If I were to get one, it would most likely be the DS lite. But at the moment, I'm in my own little retro world so I will keep playin with my GP2x

If I were to buy one, it would be DS lite.
If I got one for free, it would be PSP(sell it and get a DS and a few games)

Thats how you do it, get the one thats worth more, and sell it so you can get what you want.
