I go dumpster diving sometimes. But i never find electronics. I tend to goto Construction sites where there is left over cable, wood, and metal. Me and my friends build ramps and halfpipes a lot, so we need to find wood cheap...well, i guess we get it for free :D

Lucky. And just saying about your flopy disk....... use..... dont get into that stuff it will screw you up.
ha, i was only kidding about that, but i could see my friend using his share for that

Out of curiosity what kind of capacity did the floppies have, small (1.44 meg) or large (120+ meg flopticals)?

I've only been dumpster diving a couple times, never found anything really good, but then the dumpsters were just at some weird industrial park right near where my dad lives, all I found were about a thousand broushers(sp?) and a tv... Though I didn't take the tv out, we were like 10 and it was pretty big, and we also just figured it was broken.

There was a communal dumpster at the apartment complex that my dad stayed at for a while. Everyone left some good stuff there. I found 2 TV's, a VCR and a broken entertainment center that my mom fixed. They all work.
One of the TVs was a Curtis-Mathes brand. Anyone ever heard of that brand?
