To clear up a few misconceptions:

I live in BC, Canada. Not in Nunavut. Minimum wage here is $6.50/hr for the first 500 hours (probation period) and then it jumps up to $8.00/hr after that. The deal with Rona (where I work) is that they start EVERYBODY at $8.50/hr.

Do you understand now? :?

minimum wage in the UK depends how old you are

Code: Select all

    * The main rate for workers aged 22 and over is currently set at £5.05 an hour. On 1 October 2006 this will increase to £5.35

    * The development rate for 18-21 year olds is currently set at £4.25 an hour this will increase to £4.45 on 1 October 2006

    * The development rate for 16-17 years olds. This rate is £3.00 an hour. This will increase on 1 October 2006 to £3.30 an hour
im currently looking for a saturday job, but exams are taking precedent at the moment

i usually get money through selling things and helping my dad lug PA gear around to earn a bit on the side

Yeah I live in Ohio and minimum wage is 5.15, so those with that of the 7 dollar mark are lucky

perhaps this will clear up any confusion about the minimum wage in the US

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U. ... imum_wages (haha. i pasted the wrong link before..)

it appears that the wage is fedarally mandated ($5.15), but each state has the option of overriding that if it wants to.

---

anyways, i just got a job that pays 10 an hour, 35 hours a week... which will more than fund any crazy projects i conceive this summer.

I tutor someone once a week and take care of my neighbors cat when theyre out of town every couple of weeks.
I will always put 8) at the end of my posts
