Well, did you test it with a multimeter to see the amount of voltage going into the NOAC? And also make sure your grounds are tightly connected...because if you are missing one ground, the whole thing may not turn on. Keep on trying though, goodluck

My multimeter is out of batteries, and I don't know what type it takes, some type of button battery? I think that the batteries that I used were dead.

I think I fried my NOAC. The processor got real hot and made random graphics, then it did nothing. :'(

Ok, I got a new NOAC from SgtBowhack, and it works great. This project is still active. I've painted the case black, and mounted the new NOAC I had to bend the crystal a lot to let the case go on, but the new NOAC is much, much smaller than they SuperJoy III. All I need is a screen, batteries (it can run on 6v, maybe lower. I think I'll use a 9v though). I need to replace the wires with IDE because the current wires are bad quality.

I'm also thinking of putting my NOAC in an NES cart. We'll see how it goes ;)

Features - No visible screw holes, Cartridge is flush to case
Problems - Controller board is dead, and of cource no screen for now, audio/video/power setup is outside of case (I'm working on that).

Hey, that is that freaky NOAC of which I have three! Maybe I should waste a quality NES game just for a case! whoamg! In all seriousness, nice job. >_> I will make portables out of all three of mine.

Yeah, this is my first case, too! I used a bad game like Bugs Bunny's Birthday Blowout. I'll post updates once I get the controller working.
PS IDE ROCKS!

Kenny, everyone's had that idea, as I proved the last time someone said "that was my idea" -- I posted on it like a year and a half ago :P
And if you saw my mockup, I had a controller built into the case too.

Yeah, thanks for avoiding the swear filter. Oh, and it's not your idea because you joined only on the 28'th and this thread was started last month.

Anyways - I have the video conversion board inside (as well as my custom perfboard video/audio/power connections), I needed to add the 2 back expansion, so It will be as thick as originally planned. I'm looking out for a screen, but I think my friend will sell my his PSOne screen for $20.

That doesn't mean he couldn't have had the idea before he joined the forums :P I've decided to give up this project in favor of something more worthy and amazing... but that's a secret (and I likely won't get around to actually doing it for quite some time, so... *shrug* it'll stay a secret, I guess).

1. No meaningless bumps.

2. That was completely uncalled for.

3. Don't dodge the word filter. It's there for a reason!

4. Poor kitty! :P
