OMG WE'RE OLD!

I have friends like Harshboy, where even though they are 14, their first gaming memories are of the N64. It all depends on when you were first introduced to games. For me, I grew up loving the NES and buying the SNES as a first system; I do, however, understand that age can't be an excuse. No matter how old or young you are, you owe it to yourself to give Legend of Zelda and Galaga a shot. It's like my Nintendo shirt says, "Know Your Roots"!

Argh, I hate that shirt. Atari was my video gaming roots.

You at least gotta respect Nintendo for what it did for the industry. I never said I don't like Atari; I actually have another shirt that has the Atari 2600 symbol and a game of Pong being played where a black-eyed, beat up Mario is the ball

i was born the same year genesis came out. ten years later i got one as my first console (yeah, a whole decade without videogames *shudders*). so i was 2 generations behind and everybody was like "eew, it's old! why don't you get PS2?" and i was like "screw that, genesis pwns all!" now my newest console is dreamcast and somebody who's only 2 years younger than me was like "eew! it's old! why don't you get XBOX?" and i was like "screw that, dreamcast pwns XBOX!" those people make me feel old. i wonder if revolution will change that. i really need to get a SNES

Im 13 and my first system was in my opinion the greatest .....n64
My first hand held was a awsome GAME BOY pocket.....they rock!!

I grew up on the snes didn't get an n64 till after gamecube came out then I played it for a while and now i'm back on the snes and gamecube.

i grew up with the nostalgia around me mainly because of my older brothers and sister. my sister had to beg for a NES because my parents thought that video games were evil, but that has all changed

. I remember the day i walked up to funcoland with my brother when i was around 5 or 6 and watching him buy a snes and super mario world. that system was played so much it broke a few years ago and tasted like BBQ sauce for some reason

i remember my brother drove everywhere to find another one damn he loved griffey baseball

im 16 and my first "game system" was hardcore oldskool lol, i grew up with no game consoles but an Amiga A-1000 and A-500 computers instead! still got em! other peope had super mario bros i had the great gianna sisters man the amigas had some kilelr games! the first proper game console got was our n64 chrismas of 97 or 98 i think, i love that thing, and ive been adding to my collection ever since

I grew up with an NES, got one about the time I was 5. I've played all the mainstream consoles. I however don't take about gaming to kids that are 10 years under my age. They wouldn't understand stuff from the 32bit generation and below. I'm also not suprised that people don't know about older systems, hell there are people that don't know what a 486 is. I just try and avoid gettin into converstions with people that are not at my knowledge level or above. It leads to me explaining a lot.

Yeah, today i'm going to tell some people about the N64p i'm making and one will say "Heh, that'l be sweet" (but somewhat doubtful of me completing it) and the other will say "copulate N64 i've got an XBOX!"

theres this little kid who rides my bus whos name is timmy he knows every old video game system ever and hes only 8

i guess thats what you get when you have parents that are rat packs, but seriously this kids awsome you can name a game any game even if it was never popular and he'll know what system its for its really cool
