harsh i think he is talkin about the other cables dont cut those just pull the white one out and pull the clamp out a little on the other one

thanks Turbo, but i still can't get it off. Used a flash light to peek in, but it didn't seem like anything was unplugged.

great news everyone. I fixed my Gamecube. It turns out that my diskdrive was plugged in to far. Go figure. I guess this is something good to know. When you plug the disk drive in, make sure that it isn't at an angle in comparison with the heatsink. I hope this helps someone out there. And thanks everyone who tried to help. You guys rock :P
