GC not working

GC not working

I just plugged my gamecube in to see if it was working okay and its not. It loads up properly, but the system doesn't recognize the disc. It just says "Please insert Gamecube Game". Someone please help...PLEASE!!!!!! :cry:
i have tried turnig the pot, but nothing happens. The disk reader dosn't even glow when the system is on, its as if the disk drive is getting no power at all, someone, Please hElp

Try cleaning the lense, or Make sure the Cord Attached to the Lense Is pluged into the right Plug.

i think the lens is clean, but the lens doesn't light up at all

The cord that plugs the lense into the GC (so the lense can actually work) is probably unplugged.

there is no plug, they just snap together

[forget this]there should be a ribbon coming from the laser to the back of the disc assembly. it is prolly unplugged. ill post a pic in a sec.[forget this/]
I didn't see the pics, the cable I was talking about is connected.
