anyboady know of a way to add a video in to the gba?

so you can display images from outher things on the gba screen

sp or the first

Ive seen things like this http://www.hartsunlimited.com/gbaspavadapter.html

but I dont want to buy one ide rather make something myself

im not relly interested in a sound input although that would not be very hard so I might put that in

maybe if you dont know how but you got one of those things im my link maybe you could open it up and tell me what it has inside

I dont think there is a card reader that you can build, wouldnt even know how you'd get the cart adapter. Well look for the Compact Flash card adapter for the GBA (or SP), that should give you all you want.

dude, it's $29. For what it does, I'd say it's pretty killer. I mean, buying a GBA cart to rip apart and do stuff to would probably cost like, well, not too much less, and it'd take much more work.
Play-Asia has it for $27 shipped, if that helps sweeten the deal.
linkie linkie
You might even find it cheaper. I don't think the GBA has a video in pin on the cart pinout, but I can't seem to find the cart pinout at the moment. Anyway, I'm fairly sure this thing would suit one's needs far better than something built, though I could be wrong.

I have not given up yet although if I cannot figure something out I might get that

I will examine the innards of the gba and see if I can make since of some of it and
if I must I will also try to test the functions of the cart pins if I cannot find info on what each connects to over the internet

You should at least contact someone here on this forum who has one and ask them if they can take some photos of what it looks like inside of the device.

Holy cow, I didn't even expect it to be that complex. Good luck making one of those! ^_^ BTW, HK-47, what's your opinion of it? Pretty good stuff? I'm kinda tempted to buy one.

Its ok. It dosnt play the sound through the gba or have a speaker itself so you have to have headphones, but overall its pretty good.
