The resistor value varies depending on your LED specs. You can't just use one resistor for any LED.

LED's I got
They're only 1000MCD, would that explain why I feel that they're so dim? Perhaps I should invest in some stronger LED's?

Well if you did the PS1 screen mod your LEDs will be dim no matter what. You can bypass that one circuit (forgot what one its in the book) but I think it makes it way too bright!

I wired up my LED mod with the proper resistor
FINALLY, but the solder won't stick to the ground spot. What should I do?
