snes on a chip

i know ther has been rumors and some sorta false advertising (well for poratbilizers) on a snes on a chip i just whant to know if you guys have any geusues on when this will come out.

When people feel like investing the time and money. Image the investment in the NOAC and the Radica, that's what will be needed for the SNES. I also don't think one will come out til the hardware copyright or patients run out, so another 5 or 6 years.

when did super nintendo come out? 20 years after that is my guess.

The SNES was release about '91. So about 2011 would be about right.

Provided Nintendo doesn't renew that patent. Which they would likely only do if they had a use for it. If letting the NES patents expire is any clue of how they view thier outdated technologies. Ofcourse nothing is stopping someone from making a SNOAF (SuperNES on a FPGA). So if you want one bad enough, go at it.

The tristar didn't have have a SNES on a chip. That thing used a NOAC and a whole SNES (likely mini). I just wanted to clear that up before I locked this.
