snes on a chip
i know ther has been rumors and some sorta false advertising (well for poratbilizers) on a snes on a chip i just whant to know if you guys have any geusues on when this will come out.
.
When people feel like investing the time and money. Image the investment in the NOAC and the Radica, that's what will be needed for the SNES. I also don't think one will come out til the hardware copyright or patients run out, so another 5 or 6 years.

The SNES was release about '91. So about 2011 would be about right.wallydawg wrote:when did super nintendo come out? 20 years after that is my guess.

Provided Nintendo doesn't renew that patent. Which they would likely only do if they had a use for it. If letting the NES patents expire is any clue of how they view thier outdated technologies. Ofcourse nothing is stopping someone from making a SNOAF (SuperNES on a FPGA). So if you want one bad enough, go at it.

The tristar didn't have have a SNES on a chip. That thing used a NOAC and a whole SNES (likely mini). I just wanted to clear that up before I locked this.gamemasterAS wrote:wouldent one of those tristar things for the n64 that have the nes and snes cart slothave one.
