Technicly its legal to own roms on your computer. You can have them for a total of 1 or 2 days if you dont have the original, however if you do have the original you can keep it as long as you own the original and claim it as backup.

Actually, that is very wrong.... if you live in the U.S. the DMCA states that you can not make backups of any digital media, whether you already own it or not.

Thats being debated right now. They havent make a final desion, as if they had I'm sure many of the dvd rippers out there would be shut down and functions like "cd copy" would be removed from burning programs.

This has been discused at GCDev many times, with more techinal specifics.

The people who made it used the N64 emulator code from the Zelda disc, and modified it to inject ROMS, and put it on the GC through PSO. Thus, it's illegal.

I know that streaming the emulator and downloading gmcs is Illegal. The emulator was hacked. My friend told me about it and I wanted to try it. I don't download isos. That in no way supports nintendo. It's stealing. I don't support piracy. I hate it when a loader thing gets released and all these people say that it will help the "gamecube scene". Loaders in no way support the gc development. Downloading a game you own and even a game you own is just like going into walmart and stealing it. It's moraly wrong.

I just thought of another thing that would be cool. If they release such a device, the disc would most likely support progressive scan, like the Gameboy Player did. Then I could play n64 games in progessive scan. I can't wait!!!!
