I just saw that on nintendo.com they are running a poll to see if people would like an adapter that would let you play n64 games on Gamecube. I think it would be a pretty neat idea, actually.
Yeah but chances are that the adapter is going to do the samething as the GBA one does now, and that is emulate it. So its would be wise not to get your hopes up just yet. We should find out if Nintendo is going to do it first then see if its hardware based or emulation.

The GameBoy Player uses emulation? I thought it had gba hardware in it. Oh well, even if the n64 adapter would use emulation, it will probably work pretty good. After all, the GameCube is one powerful machine.

Hmm...interesting...I wonder if there is a 5V, GND, video and audio in on the ports on the bottom of the system....then maybe we can make adapters of our own for the NGC...

The official Nintendo GBA adapter runs the games via hardware. The unofficial one (that plugs into the front of the GCN) is an emulator.

Yes, but although it does use hardware it require the gamecube to run. The port on the bottom does not have direct a/v jacks so the gbaplayer transmits actuall data to the gamecube. It also requires a series of bootup codes from the gamecube to run.

gamelver just to tell you if you have already made a n64p and the n64 adaptor comes out youd probably have to build another one if it is like a gameboy player
yeah, if it plugs into the bottom ports I couldn't use it .....but maybe somehow someone else will make an N64 adapter that goes into the memory card slot, like the GBA one. now that would make me happy...
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!
well it would cost a lot more money because pay for some some duct tape and the gamecube av jacks would take up the tv some you would have to buy another box to plug the n64s into and plus if it was an adaptor you would probably use a gamecube controller wich is cool
You already can play emulated n64 games on the gamecube, just not that many. Someone hacked the zelda master quest disk emulator to run different games. You need to have your cube networked and use the PSO exploit to stream the games. Mario Kart, Mario 64,starfox, are a few that almost run perfect.
