Gamecube laptop

The power board doesn't have contacts as tiny as the DVD drive, so it shouldn't be too bad, but the innards of the GameCube are similar to the Dreamcast, so if you want to move the boards apart, I'd suggest looking at Dkap01's page. As for the drive, its thickness can be reduced by half (info in Gamelver's GCp thread) by just dremeling off extra plastic at the bottom.

Really all you'd have to do is the modding that Gamelver did to make his GCp and 1.5. The difference is that you'd have the game disc on the top (with a cover I'd hope) and the screen would close over the top of the system in the same way a laptop's does.

I dont see it as a bad idea. I would look a hell of a lot better then a standard GameCube with the 5" screen on it. With how much the GameCube draws an hour it would be best to just use a laptop battery, which I know they do have 14.4v ones (check radioshack).
